Storage
isginf provides its
iiStore service to the
Department of Computer Science (
D-INFK) while
IT Services of ETH Zurich runs the
NAS service for the whole ETH Zurich.
Home and Project Directories
Home and project directories of research groups of the usually are located on
iiStore. See
here for how to access your data there.
Disk Quota
Some groups choose to activate a disk quota for their data volume on
iiStore to limit disk usage by individual users. See
here for how to check your disk quota. Please contact your
IT Coordinator (
ITC) for more information.
Scratch Space
The
isginf maintains a file server for
scratch space which is not backed up. Contact your
ITC for more information.
Backup/Restore
Data on
iiStore that was lost recenctly can be restored by its owner from the
daily snapshots. Restore from
tape backups can be performed by
isginf for data not available in the snapshots anymore.
Student Home Directories
ITS provides a
home directory for every student on their NAS. This home directory is used on the
student labs.
Disk Quota
All users by default have a disk quota of 2GB. See
