Printing service (CUPS, VPP) for all printers at the D-INFK |
Service Description
The CUPS print service is installed on the server
cupsone.inf.ethz.ch.
You can find the list of all printers available through CUPS under
http://cupsone.inf.ethz.ch:631/printers.
We warmly suggest to let configure your printer on our printing server. The main advantages are:
- If you have printing problems, troubleshooting is easy, because you have a central printing queue
- Conflicts between print jobs cannot occur because of the central printing queue
- You can make central printing evaluations
- You can offer default settings and drivers in a central way
