The necessary credentials can be obtained from your IT Coordinator or isginf. secure shell (ssh) is generally possible but subject to restrictions by the firewall of your group. Every D-INFK member can log in (via ssh) to
optimus.ethz.ch(same Linux setup as in the public student labs) and
web-login.inf.ethz.ch(for editing your personal home page). NAS, personal and project storage and scratch storage is possible from anywhere when using VPN. nethz user account enables you to use several WLAN access points outside ETH Zurich for free.
